First responders began life-saving measures before Ms. Hester was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.
CHP reports that the driver of the van that hit Ms. Hester did not appear to have been intoxicated on drugs or alcohol at the time of the tragic accident and is said to have been cooperative with investigators.
